2" x 4" construction was used and pretty much left untouched from the first layout.

This Walther's roundhouse was left over from a friends layout but was too big to use on mine.

I used 3/4" plywood for the deck. You can see here as I started to develop the city.

Here you can see the mainlines are in. The depot and ice house were originally fitted here but later moved. I used foam core sheets instead of using the traditional cork. It provides the necessary sound proofing.
