Switch Stands


Here we see in the foreground a yellow target signal with green and amber lights. This indicates a switch on a siding or yard track. The red target signal with red and green lights indicate a switch located on the mainline or directly connected to it.

The tubing and support structure are
plastic styrene. The pipe details such as 90 degree elbows, flanges, gate valves and the pump and motor assembly is from Plastruct.
I kit bashed my switch stands using Central Valley's stand and Cal Scale marker lights. I then added M V Products lenses to finish it off.

I started with one of my Roundhouse Harriman coachs which has custom detail.

I added electrical pick ups to the trucks and soldered power leads.

I scratched built the sand tower using plastic styrene. The sand pit is from a Walthers Cornerstone series kit.
